Losing weight successfully without exercise

I’ve always been an athlete, but am injured and unable to workout at all or even walk very far. I’ve been fighting this injury for 8 years (have gained tons of weight in the past 4) but it finally won. I’m already fighting an uphill battle being unable to work, so I’m just home 24/7 bored and depressed out of my mind.

Thankfully, my parents let me come live with them so my basic needs are met, but they keep ungodly amounts of junk food on hand. I’m going to have to rely purely on will power alone without any of my healthy coping mechanisms (weightlifting, yoga, hiking) to keep me motivated.

Without the ability to increase my calorie expenditure, what things have helped you stay on track when having to be on such a low-calorie diet?
