Concerning weight loss

Diagnosed with fatty liver. Started dieting, no exercise. I'm 26 6'4. Starting weight 307, this morning | was 269. 1 have been dieting since October 4th, it is now January 1st. I cut out carbs and sugar, having cheated a few times here and there with carbs but not sugar. How is it possible for me to be losing weight this quick? I usually only eat once a day and that's only protein and vegetables. I'm consistently losing 1lb a day. Is it because of my young age? Although I don’t exercise, I have a sort’ve physically demanding job where I have to climb once or twice, and I average 6,000 steps a shift, sometimes this can be 15,000. I cut back quite a bit on drinking as well. What I’m getting at is this kind of feels too easy and starting to wonder if something is wrong because at this rate I will hit my goal weight in no time.
