BMR/Calorie intake

Hello. I need clarification as google isn't helping. Im 27, F, 5'3 and weigh 157. I am trying to lose weight. I do go to the gym 3-4 times a week and am watching what I eat. My BMR is 1416. When I plugged my info into a calorie deficient calculator it says I need to eat 1575 calories to lose 1lb a week. To maintain my current weight is 2075 calories. But online information only says if I eat above my BMR I'm maintaining or adding little weight.

So which is true? Do I need to eat less than my BMR to lose weight or can I stick with the calorie deficient calculator which said I can consume 1575??
