Imagine a scenario. Me and a heroin addict are sitting across from each other. In-between us is a bunch of heroin. They are able to resist the heroin for an hour, but I am able to resist the heroin indefinitely.
Does this make me more disciplined than the heroin addict? Does this mean I have more willpower? That I'm stronger? FUCK NO. Because I DON'T HAVE THE URGE TO DO HEROIN.
Some people do not have the urge to overeat. You could place a donut in front of them and they would feel NOTHING. You place a donut in front of me? It's all I'm thinking about.
I'm not saying we're all food addicts. I have a complicated relationship with that term. But for whatever reason, we have the urge to overeat. That doesn't make us bad. It makes us different.
