Managing hunger when losing a lot of weight

I'm in the middle of my weight less journey. I started it mid-march, and I started weighing myself since the end of March, and I've lost close to 40 lbs, and I want to lose about 30-35 more. Partly due to traveling and binging on snacks, I've been yo-yoing and not making real progress this past month. This week, I'm staying at home, so hopefully I can reach a new low.

Part of the reason is for my lack of progress is that my appetite is far above maintenance. As you diet and lose weight, will your appetite keep increasing, or will it ever adjust to your new body weight? If so, how long does it take? When you are waiting for your planned time to eat, how do you make light-headedness go away without ingesting unplanned calories? Is being hungry a lot just something I'm going to have to get used to if I want to get and stay lean?
