It's all said in the title.
Context: I'm 21 years old and I'm 1m90 for about 130kg.
So my basal metabolism for a sedentary person is 2865kcal per day.
(I weigh what I eat and enter the calories on a Yazio application) I've been running at half of my basal metabolism for a while now, that is to say about 1400 ~ 1500kcal. It's true that it's not a lot but it's sustainable personally. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits to fill me up and about 100 ~ 120g of protein per day. I don't eat starchy foods all the time.
I also try to do about 45min of strengthening exercises per day and about 5k steps per day during the week and more than 10k on weekends and during the holidays. (I don't know if strengthening exercises are necessary every day of the week?)
However, I heard that if you have a caloric deficit that is too large for too long, the body gets used to it and therefore slows down weight loss. Is this true?
If it is true, how could I boost my metabolism to reach a correct caloric deficit without gaining weight again?
I also saw that you shouldn't lose weight too quickly because you risk gaining it back once you eat normally at your maintenance calories.
I have a lot of questions. Thank you to those who will answer my questions to know if I should change my weight loss routine.
