Biggest struggles losing weight & keeping it off. (mentally & physically)

Hi Everyone, I am 22 years old and have been caught up in the fitness industry for about 8 years now. My journey was extremely difficult, always overweight and could never figure out how to lose weight permanently. I would hop from diet to diet and hope one would give me the miracle fat loss i had been looking for. I was so impatient i would starve myself and do whatever i had to to lose fat as fast as i could.

It was extremely unhealthy and knowing what i know now, there are a number of things i would have done drastically different. My mood was always horrible, I never ate any sugar, carbs, etc... and that led to social isolation because i was too hell bent on losing weight rather than experienceing life & hanging out with friends

Fast forward to today, I have come up with a lifestyle that works for me and one where I can easIly maintain abs year round. It took me about 6 years to figure it out and through those 6 years there were a plethora of mental and physical things that went on. Even today, i find I am still having some of those mental & physical struggles I was when I was at my worst. It never ends.

Some of the things I expereinced were:

Body dismoephia - Still struggle with this today. I feel like i will never look good enough and that in large part is due to SOCIAL MEDIA and comparing mysself to influencers and bodyu builders that look like greek gods...

Self hatred - off that note of body dismorphia, I hated the way I lkooked for a long time and it effected everything about me mentally - My mood, my self perception, what I ate (nothing lol), isolation, over training, etc...

Social isolation - in order to avioid any caloric intake, i would often skip meals with friends or partys

Mood - my mood was always horrible. I would never think about anything but my next meal and how hungry i was 24/7. It made me very unenjoyable to be around and now looking back on it i hate it so much.

there are many more things...

I was wondering, what are the most prominent mental aspects of losing weight you have experienced (both positive & negative) like mood, judgement, self confidence, body dismorphia, self hatred, etc... AND the solutions you have found work best to negate these when dieting.

FULL DISCLOSURE... I am planning on creating weight loss courses... I hated this industry for so long and got screwed over so many times by influencers niching down to sell me their one size fits all diet. My idea is that I do not want to be part of the problem. A lot of the things I do will be for free... courses, community, etc... all free. I think one of the things that I really want to address is the struggles mentaly and how to overcome them - its so bad especially with social media and it pains me to think about what i went through as a direct result of comparisions & caring what ither people think. Your opinions mean a ton and thanks for the responses :)
