Should be adding exercise calories back?

SW: 174 Current weight: 168 GW: 150 5’7”, 40 yo woman

I’ve read a lot about how you shouldn’t add back exercise cals to your daily calories, but I usually take what Fitbit estimates and cut it in half. I exercise for around 6-7 hours/week (lifting and cardio) and my BMR is already pretty low so I’m eating 1,300 cals & 150 grams of protein. It helps so much to be able to eat that extra 250 cals, especially on heavy lifting days when I’m super hungry, but I wonder if I’m stalling my progress by doing so?
