I wish I could find a gym buddy/friend. Any ideas?

I am 37 (f) and have put on about 50lbs over the last two years. A change from an active to sedentary job, health issues, and two lost pregnancies later I’m here. Heavier than I’ve ever been.

I struggle with the gym and my body desperately needs it. I used to burn 1000 calories a day just working and now my Apple Watch barely hits 400 calories on a good day. I can eat clean all day but with PCOS I know my body needs the activity. I haven’t seen results just dieting in months but I also make up excuses when it’s time to go to the gym. I have no motivation and it’s embarrassing being there for me. In the past, I’ve always had a friend to go with who made it more comfortable, less anxious and held me accountable. I was in the best snap of my life physically and mentally. Those friends have since dived head first into new stressful jobs and babies leaving no time for the gym, they say.

So to sum up my rant- is there an app or community of people looking for just that? I easily make friends but most people I meet would rather go out for drinks than hit the gym. Any advice on finding someone to go with would be great.
