I'm a 37 year old male, 5 feet 9 inches. I started out at 190lbs, and my doctors told me to try and get a better BMI. So my goal is 165lbs, which will just barely put me in the 'normal' category for BMI. I've lost weight for a while, but i got stuck at 180lbs for like 3 weeks. then i got sick with some kinda stomach bug and barely ate food for like 3 days, and came out of it at 177lbs. now i've been stuck at 177 for about 4 weeks and it's not budging. I've been eating healthy with very light snacks here and there. my LoseIt goal is to lose 2 lbs a week, which i know is a lot to ask so i just get happy if i go down even .4lbs a week. i'll take anything. but my calorie budget daily is 1,500. so it's hard not to go past that. i've also been exercising 3-4 times a week. i go to the gym after dropping the kids off at school and i run the elliptical for about 30 minutes. I'm attaching details from this last week, everything except the exact food i'm eating, but i'm eating plain oatmeal in the morning with a banana and a half a cup of organic orange juice. again, i'm eating fairly healthy.
anyway, here's a summary of my last week where i gained .2lbs after a week. please let me know what i'm doing wrong or if i need to be trying something different, or if i need to just stick with it hoping that i'll come out of this dry spell eventually. but i've been in limbo here at 177 for a few weeks now and i'm getting very discouraged....
