I am pretty happy. I was really anxious about christmas. I am prone to binging and feel like christmas is an easy time to do so. In order to preempt binging , I did three things. 1. Did not buy loads of sweets , just my favourites. 2. I didn't go off plan until the 25th. I didn't have any extra calories or snacks during the lead up. 3. I got a really bad stomach bug on the 24th. (Ok, the last one was unintentional!) I had very little appetite until yesterday and had to be very selective about what I ate. Seeing the scale still going slightly downward was great motivation. I am pretty happy. I didn't binge this Christmas! ... I did not eat perfectly, or track super accurately. As i said, I did buy my favourites (which are all quite calorie dense) so even though i did not stuff myself , I definitely over ate by 1000 cals since the 25th, but it was all food I had really been looking forward to ! Cheese / Cheese cake / mochas/ chocolate.
.......... I am not back on plan, but I went for a walk and then went to the gym today. I also reprioritised water. I took it easy at the gym, but at least I went! I want to get back on plan now. However,I have a dinner date tomorrow , and I am then going to be fully back on plan. .........
How are you all doing? Over Christmas, have you been off plan/out of control/ strict? How has Christmas been? Would you do the same next year? Do you have motivation to stay on track, or do you feel like you don't know if you will go back to eating healthily. .......
