Hi,
Curious about what could be happening here - over the course of my life my weight has fluctuated a lot.
During the past 5 years, I've hit 260, and then subsequently dropped to 190 multiple different times. I think I get frustrated that my weight gets stuck so I kinda just give into the bad eating habits again, which is obviously not ideal. I feel like my hunger urges also grow substantially when I'm at 190, compared to say, 220.
The strange part is, I always get stuck at 190, I've NEVER been able to go lower than that. This is like the 5th time in my life that I've been down to this weight and then seemingly get stuck. The strange part is that before I hit 190, the weight feels like it flies off. After I hit the 190 threshold, it then just grinds to a halt.
Has anyone else ever dealt with this? I don't really exercise much so I'm thinking that maybe this is the time to start, but open to other ideas as well. Maybe I need to adjust my diet?
It feels like this is the weight my body wants to be at, which is very confusing to me.
For reference I'm a 6 foot tall male, so I'm still overweight, even at 190. Presumably I have a high BF% as well, but I haven't measured. Also, if it matters, I've pretty much been fat my entire life, so 190 is pretty 'light' for me, compared to how I usually am.
I'm currently down 70lbs and I don't want to lose the momentum, but I am admittedly feeling a bit discouraged right now.
Curious to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and how they were able to break through!
