reaching my daily calories is a struggle and I feel like I'm eating too much

I'm a 32y man, 6ft, 352lb.

I'm trying to lose weight so I calculated my BMR and recommended daily calories.

After many BMR calculators online I reached the conclusion that my daily calorie intake should be around 2500 to lose aprox. 2lb per week.

However even coming close to that value is a struggle.

I'm trying to eat healthy, with a balance between carbs, fats and protein as well as fibers. I quit sweets and any non-fruit sugar, as well as alcohol.

even with peanut paste, some bananas, rice, oats, beans, shredded chicken, milk, yogurt etc I seldom go past 2000 calories per day.

Which is weird considering I feel full all the time and honestly feel bad because I get the impression I'll actually gain weight instead of losing it.

Am I doing something wrong or am I in the right path?
