i have an apple body shape genetically, which means i carry all my weight in my stomach. my mom has it too. i have lost about 50 pounds so far and now every part of me is skinny EXCEPT my stomach, so i have really weird proportions and look pregnant. i am horrified with how i look. i think i have the worst body build on earth.
i run, im training for a half marathon currently, which has me doing about 19 miles a week. but i overeat a LOT. i will eat enough pasta for a whole family every day and i start my morning with a sugary pastry. i have adhd so i overeat and binge eat when im bored because of the dopamine hit.
my question is, if i were able to eat healthy and maybe do some deep core exercises on top of running, would that make me develop a flat stomach? all i want is for my stomach to be flat and my body proportions to look normal. but im afraid i will put in the work and nothing will change. i basically just need reassurance that an apple body shape CAN have a flat stomach, despite us only gaining weight in our mid section.
