I tried keto and felt like sh*t. What should I do?

A few weeks ago I tried keto diet for a bit more than 3 weeks and on week 3 I felt absolutely horrible. I had no energy, I had brain fog, was sleepy all the time. Then they advised me to up my electrolytes and I did, but then I felt horrible because of the salty taste in my mouth from all the salty water.

I went back to eating carbs and immediately felt my normal self again.

That being said, I thought keto was good to help me lose these 5kg that I am carrying around 1.5y postpartum. I am definitely ready to be a bit fitter. If you look at people who talk about keto changing ther lives you absolutely cannot imagine it not working for someone. Yet here I am.

So I need help from the kind people here. I want to really push myself for the next two months, July and August, with a bit more intensive workouts and a stricter good plan.

I am even ready to count calories even though I absolutely hate doing that but for the sake of being in a calorie deficit I am willing to measure and count them.

Any advice from people who have been here is appreciated.

About me: 33F, 82kg, 177cm, no longer breastfeeding, knows quite a lot about nutrition but likes to eat lol, I even own a food company so a lot of my life revolves around delicious foods, but I also love healthy food and enjoy doing good things for my body like fermented foods and quality meats and leafy greens lol
