People who already had their weight loss plateau and managed to overcome it, how did you do it?

This year I've reached the highest weight I've had in my whole life: 96kg.

And since then, I've started losing weight through walking every day and eating much better.
Which is good! I'm already at 91kg.

And I have three milestones to reach:
83kg at mid-October, 81kg at mid-November and 79kg at New Year's Eve.

But here is the thing: I don't know exactly when I'm gonna reach my plateau.
And I don't know what to do when I reach it.

What should I do when I reach my plateau? Do I tweak the amount of exercise or the diet? Or I do some third thing?
