Ketoacidosis? Not diabetic or pregnant

I originally posted this in the Keto reddit, but it was removed by a moderator for being considered a crash diet, which is not what Keto is. So, I'm posting this here:

I am extremely athletic and recently decided that I wanted to drop a few pounds of fat quickly and went the keto route along with a pretty extreme diet (around 1000 kcal/day, 100 g protein. I know, I know. I am 5'5", 125 pounds, and female).

Anyway, at about 10 days in, I'm like 20 minutes into boxing with my coach (I go once a week, but he was out of town last week, so this was our first time with me on keto) and start to feel really horrible. And then some voice deep inside of me says, "You're in trouble." It was so clear. I stopped, left the ring, went to the gym's store and bought a banana. I ate it in line while I waited to pay. It felt like an emergency. I was so thirsty, and I was having trouble breathing. I felt better within minutes.

I've been thinking about it ever since and tried googling around to figure out what happened. I'm pretty sure i was in ketoacidosis. Anyway, before my next boxing session, I'm eating a banana.

Anyone have something similar happen?
