Being on this weight-loss journey has given me so much more insight on my body and it’s regular shifts and changes. Being 3+ months without alcohol has also helped with this. My current non-scale victory is that I have lost enough weight that I can actually NOTICE when I am bloated, before, my stomach was big/round enough that I couldn’t even tell when/if I was bloated. I also have noticed that weighing myself daily has surprisingly made me realize that I should truly take the number on the scale with a grain of salt. What I mean by this is that there are so many factors that can affect how much you weigh from day to day. Some of the aforementioned insight I have gleaned is that I gain a considerable amount of weight before my menstrual cycle and tend to lose it once it’s over in a big “whoosh” also that a super salty meal can cause major water retention weight gain. What kinds of insight have you been able to gain about your body/health on your weight loss journey?
