Are devices and applications accurate to calorie loss and steps?

Title.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm currently on my fitness journey, myself and my partner went on a little walk today and hit 7.5k steps on that walk.

I have an Apple Watch, and the Fitness app tells me I burnt 436 during that walk.
With that, I also use another app called "StepsApp" which connects to the Health iOS App and specifically tracks steps and calories burnt, this one tells me I burnt 520 calories.

For reference, I'm 26, 100kg, 6'2.
How accurate would you find this is? If not at all, is there any tips / tricks to being more accurate with burnt calories?
