Hurt tail bone but now I know why! (NSV)

I am a middle-aged beginner figure skater, as such, I wear ALL the protective gear (helmet, knee pads etc.) including one of my best finds... a padded figure skating skirt. Looking back, I now realize that it's been easier pulling on the skirt but I didn't notice until the incident this week. I was about to do a move I already learned, hadn't even started it yet, when suddenly I had a horrible fall FOR NO REASON.

Legs went up, tail bone went down. It was very painful. However, I was also shocked...how had my trusty skirt let me down? It had somehow slipped down to wear it no longer protected my tail bone. Well today it suddenly dawned on me and I brought out the measuring tape. I was literally shocked. For the first time in probably 12 years, I am no longer overweight by waist measurement (35" for women). The reason my skirt fell down on me was revealed, I actually lost waist inches.

I know this might not seem big to some people but my middle section is SO HARD to reduce. And now I guess I'm not at elevated risk because of visceral fat. I guess I didn't even realize how much that worry was haunting my mind. For the first time getting fit seems actually possible.

I haven't really shared my journey with anyone in real life so thank you for letting me share here.
