How do you lose weight while living with a foodie?

24F here - I've recently weighed myself after a few months of not knowing how much i weighed and I am officially in the "overweight" category for the first time. I know BMI isn't 100% reliable but there's also the fact a lot of my clothes no longer fit, I'm very sluggish and I feel more short of breath than usual and so unfit in the gym, so I want to do something about this.

6 months ago I moved in with my lovely bf who's a huge foodie. He's an annoying gym rat with an amazing metabolism so he can eat whatever he wants and still be in great shape. I know it's my own choices that got me here, but I gained nearly 2kg a month living with him (more doable than you realise) as we would pig out together after work or on weekends. It's weird because until the evening I was eating a very modest amount, I dont eat breakfast and I have a light lunch but those evening binges really took a toll on me. I was also working an extremely stressful job at that time which meant I didn't work out as much and my sleep was awful.

Just today he bought half a giant twix to my room while I was WFH which I had to give back and then very sweetly bought me a burrito just now which I said no to. In his eyes I'm perfect and don't need to lose a pound, and he knows I obviously enjoy these foods so he doesn't get why I'm saying no or why I want to lose weight. It's also tricky when he buys a bunch of snacks and offers me some, my willpower is constantly being tested. It was so much easier to be fit and healthy when I didn't live with him!

How have you guys managed to do this?
