Appetite so high and weight stalled

I have lost over 60lbs over a little over a year. I found several times my body seemed to get stuck or resist releasing weight, once it was a month, another time over two months. I did a lot of things to try to combat it and eventually it would start to budge again.

Is this normal or common?

I also find that I get so hungry and have a harder time cutting more calories when I am stalled. I rarely give in but it makes it so much harder. I refuse to give up but my appetite gets really bad.

Is this what I should expect more of as I get closer to my goal weight?
