I've been on this sub for a few years now, and it really helped me change my life. I'm back seeking help now.
I've maintained my weight for about a year, stressful life events caused me to stop working out and tracking my diet as closely. I started back at my diet plan and exercise, and was seeing progress again. Then I met my boyfriend. He has always been slim but is getting a little belly (I think it's cute), he's very concerned about his appearance and mentioned his "fat" a lot. He has weights in the apartment, but never does cardio because he doesn't want his legs to look "too big".
Basically he used to work full time at a call center, now stays at the apartment 24/7 with me because of the virus. I've learned so much about him. I love him so much, but our lifestyles are so different. He will literally go weeks without leaving the apartment, and play his videogame pretty much all day and evening. When I invite him to go for a walk and get some fresh air, he 100% doesn't want to. The other day I said it was a beautiful day after walking my dog, and he asked if I meant something by that. Like no, I just love a beautiful day.
Anyway. Since being in this relationship, I've gained 10lbs. I'm happy with him and we have fun, but fun for him is watching a movie and eating taco bell - which is fun for sure. But I have been trying to be healthy, and we just haven't done much to do that.
I've decided to get back on the horse. My apartments gym is open again, so I'm running on the treadmill again. I'm also tracking my calories again with varying rates of success (takes me a few days to get back to the right habits). I'm also wearing my Fitbit again. For some reason a fitness tracker has always been the most motivational thing for me.
I used to sit in a dark room on my computer all day. But I've become the kind of person who needs fresh air and sunshine, and physical activity, to feel human. I'm doing my best to make better choices, but it's difficult in my current situation and I need help.
Thanks in advance!
