How I went down from 240 to 165 pounds. The Journey

Just wanted to share the mothods I used to lose the weight. As we all know, we have to find our own way to lose weight and it's the discovery of finding out what works for just YOU that makes it very exiting.

Anyway, I started going up steps (7 floors up and down in the apartment building where I live). I was too ashamed to Run outside, plus, One should NOT run while being too heavy since you get hurt very easily. I went down to about 200 pounds and then I felt I could start running outside. I am dong all of this with TONS of clothes and with Winter Boots on (I thought wearing heavier shoes would make me sweat even more).

I weigh myself before and after a workout, wearing lots of clothes I could easily lose 3-4 pounds during a 1 hour workout. It was of course mostly water weight but just seeing that weight off on the scale gave me a feeling of control that I could not get just counting calories. If I lost 4 pounds during a workout, then I would NOT eat more than 4 pounds of food until the next workout (4 Pounds of food meant 1 pound of solid food (eggs, meatballs, apples) and 1,5 pounds of water). I avareged about 2-3 workouts per day and luckily I never really got hurt during all the running.

It might sound ridiculous, counting everything that goes into my body (in grams and Pounds) but it actually worked, I'd spent 15 years trying to lose weight and finally this crazy system actually worked for me. I don't know If I would recommend this system to anyone, ut just wanted to share my story.

Love reading everyone's story on this subreddit, we all go through similar journeys.
