Need some tips

Hello guys I'm new to r/loseit and I'm normally just a lurker on reddit but this time I really need outside help.

My main problem with losing weight is that sometimes I go in to an uncontrollable eating frenzy (best description I have)

it's like I know I shouldn't eat that much but I still do it had hate myself after it happens.

One of the triggers for this frenzy is smoking weed, I try to keep the smoking to the weekends and it is a substitute for drinking with friends (I have a medical problem so I'm not allowed to drink).

Another trigger is basically emotional eating.

Someone got any tips on how to avoid the frenzy, I can stop smoking weed but it is the only thing I'm waiting for every week as a stress relive.
