Here’s the strange mindset I’m in. In the summer I was working a catering job, long shifts but fast good money, and I found it pretty easy to work out a lot and enjoy cooking healthy food (not to mention easy to not mindlessly snack, since I was often busy doing shit at events during prime snacking hours).
Last week I went back to teaching private piano lessons. I teach 4 days a week, 34 students at the moment, and do catering on the weekends. The four days I teach I run on a lot of coffee and a “just push through so I can go be alone and sleep” sort of attitude, which leads me to easily excuse not going to the gym or eating fast food that I don’t really need. During the summer it was easy to prioritize myself and my well being. When I’m teaching it’s just about pulling through so I can focus on my students and not spend so much time worrying about myself. Any ideas on how to change my perspective so that I can keep up my momentum?
