Finally started losing after 6+ months of maintaining with binge eating disorder

Just sharing cause I’m crazy excited to be finally losing weight. I’ve steadily gained for basically a decade, more rapidly in the last 5 years. This last November I went to an event and was feeling really heavy and I weighed myself and I was 236! The last I’d checked I was like 204 so that was shocking to me. I had felt like I was maintaining but I also worked a job that made me hate life so I’m not super shocked I just hadn’t noticed really. I finally just noped and really started trying. I would get pumped and lose 5 pounds but I would immediately jump back up from stressing out over just a week of dieting. I saw a therapist and got diagnosed with binge eating disorder, and so realized I had to change how I went about losing weight. Since then I’ve taken the pressure off of myself and focused on making small changes- spending more time outside, really listening to my body when I eat and making sure I eat with people so that when I get full, I stop, throw my food away and distract myself from continuing to just eat and eat. I don’t order delivery, and I always eat before I’m hungry because if I actually get hungry I make bad decisions. Anyway, long post but I’ve finally begun losing! I haven’t been able to get below 234 ish but stayed pretty solidly at 236 (which I was proud of myself for not gaining) and now I even lost 2 more pounds in just the last week. Heckin excited.
