Im going backwards

In the past year, my back issues have made being active, formerly one of my favorite things in the world, much more difficult. I'm in constant pain whether I do anything or don't: run, workout, climbing, boxing/BJJ, or sit on the couch. I went to a specialist who performed two injections over two months in my spine to try to alleviate the pressure on my sciatic nerve and I've only gotten worse. I've gained about 40 pounds. None of my jeans or work pants fit comfortably or at all anymore. I've gone up a couple of belt sizes for the first time since my freshman year of college.

I've been going the other way. And it feels like every time I try to get out of the physical and emotional rut, the pain gets so much worse. The heaviest I had ever been before this year was 180 and I was in the best shape of my life. That was many years ago and then this year I set a new max 200. I'm 5'9" so I know I'm not going through as hard a time as many people on here and I'm not trying to seek sympathy for being at what would be many peoples' goal weights. I just want to let you guys know I've followed this sub for a while to understand better people who are working hard to improve themselves and now I understand better the difficultly of being healthy and regulating ones weight. It sucks and my heart goes out to anyone feeling the same. Keep at it whoever is reading this. I'm at 190 now but the pain isn't improving and I'm worried that I may not be able to feel better/happy again.

Good luck to everyone out there I know I'm not losing weight but I do feel like I'm losing it. If this post isn't meant to be on this sub, I'll delete it.
