Well, hey there! I’m Kristi. You might know me as the blogger from Addicted 2 Decorating. Or maybe not. Either way, this blog isn’t going to be about decorating or home remodeling.

This blog is going to be all about my ketogenic diet journey to health.

Ahhh, the ketogenic diet. For some reason, it’s controversial. But I’m here to tell you that I’m a big fan. Actually, right now, I’m a very big fan. (Yes, pun intended 😀 ) But I’m not as big as I used to be, thanks to keto. But I’ll get to all of those details in later posts.

I’ve been tossing around the idea of starting this blog to share my own personal journey for a couple of months now, but I just dragged my feet. I have people ask me about my progress quite regularly since I mentioned it on my main blog a couple of times last fall.

But since then, I’ve hesitated to write more about keto over there, not because I was hiding anything, but because that blog is my bread and butter (it literally supports our household), and Google (who sends me 40% of my traffic each day) seems to like my DIY/decorating posts.

So I didn’t want to start watering down my DIY/decorating blog with articles about the ketogenic diet. (The Google monster does not like being confused with off-topic posts, like keto articles on a DIY/decorating blog.) So if I was going to be sharing about keto regularly, it had to be a separate blog, and I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to take on another responsibility. In fact, even just two days ago, I was still debating it.

But then, another blogger used me as her “case study” to deter people from doing the ketogenic diet. Me, personally. A case study. It was essentially a four-post case study about why keto should be avoided.

I shrugged it off for the first three posts, but then came the fourth post — the post where she said I was “blindly following” a certain keto guru, and where she insinuated that I was gullible. And so here we are on my new blog. 🙂

To be clear, I don’t intend for this to turn into a keto recipe blog (although I may share some of my favorites from time to time), and I don’t want to do a blog sharing the science of the ketogenic diet (there are literally thousands of places online where you can find that info).

I just want to share my own journey. That’s it.

Well, first I want to post four rebuttal posts to the case study written about me…

AND THEN, I just want to share my journey.
