All of this time, I was convinced that my start date and 1st weigh-in at Easter would be 6 weeks apart. Nope, they are 5 weeks apart. So, my goal of losing 15 lbs by Easter is out the window. I came to this realization in the middle of my walk, and decided I needed to know today if I've made any progress. I've been eating low carb, lean protein and slipping into ketosis and I have been faithfully tracking in MFP. I've behaved and can honestly say that there wasn't any cheating in the past 4 weeks. If I got hit by a bus and St. Peter asked me if I'd cheated, he'd have to open the pearly gates.
I planned on the first weigh-in being at Easter, as I didn't want to obsess over the scale. So, I've been flying blind this whole time and trusting that MFP and MapMyWalk were doing their jobs. But, today when I realized that I miscalculated my timeline for my 1st goal, I mustered up the strength to step on the scale. And....I'm down 10 lbs in 4 weeks!
I took the scale to every room with a non carpeted floor and the number didn't change! It is real! I just wanted to post here because you are all such encouraging and wonderful people, and this sub has really helped keep me going. I have a long way to go and it is really hard work, but the next 10 lbs will hopefully get me into my first smaller sized clothing goal. So, thank you for sharing your joys, fears, struggles and victories--it helps so much. If I can give back by lending my ear or being a personal cheering section, don't hesitate to PM me. From the bottom of my heart, I wish all of you success on this journey. Don't give up!
