Foods I discovered that keep me full and don't break the (calorie) bank

Hi!

Reinitiated CICO after spending months traveling around the country this past winter and eating shitty airport food. I eat 1500 calories per day. Two things have made me a bit more successful this time around 1) not eating back my calories lost from exercise and 2) finding snacks and foods that satisfy me. So I thought we could all just share. Having these foods in my arsenal makes me feel less restricted and more likely to stick to my calories per day.

  1. Tofu shiritaki noodles - I use these in my pasta recipes. They're 10 calories per bag and I usually put 2 bags into a recipe. It lasts me like 4 to 5 days.
  2. Halo Top ice cream - Each pint is max 350 - 380 calories depending on the flavor. I've even seen pints as low as 290 calories. Whole pints! This ice cream is delicious and allows me to splurge when I'm craving something sweet. It also has more protein than most ice cream brands.
  3. Naval oranges - 70 calories per orange and they're lower in sugar than apples or bananas. When I need a snack inbetween meals they've been more filling than my past go-to snack, Luna bars, which can be like 200 calories per tiny bar.
  4. Those steamable vegetable bags - They're veggies! In bags! It just allows me to eat more vegetables tbh. That's all haha

Are there any foods that have made calorie counting easy for you? I'm also interested in more higher protein snacks so if you have suggestions for those, would love to hear it as well.
