I lost 30lbs and stopped being 'almost' overweight (with a progress pic!) NSFW

So, I joined this sub last summer. My weight had been very slowly creeping up and then I realised I was about to be overweight (by BMI standards); I wasn't feeling comfortable in myself and was just feeling a bit blah about my body.

I lost weight through good old calorie tracking on MFP. I didn't eat unhealthily before - but just that little bit too much (for example, I'd make lots of salads for lunch and have them with hummus and pita, now I skip the pita, have extra veggies and low cal hummus). I'm also more aware of my snacking, and whether I actually want something of if I'm just a bit bored. I generally stuck to around 1200 calories a day. I'm no longer tracking - weekdays are probably closer to the 1200 and then weekends I don't really think about it as much. I still weigh myself everyday and track it on libra, so if I notice my weight creeping up I can catch myself and keep an eye on what I'm eating!

I did think 'once I'm at this goal weight, I'll be so happy with my body' which I'm definitely not. I don't feel comfortable in a bikini or in really tight clothing - so I still have some body lovin' issues to work around. I don't think I carry my weight very well (it goes all to my tummy) and I'm quite squishy. I do two yoga classes a weak and walk everywhere but otherwise don't exercise that much... I'm maintaining now but carrying on with exercise so will be interesting to see what my body does!

I've found this community really motivating and great for when you get a bit down about your own progress. I definitely had some weeks where the scale didn't change and popping on here was a good reminder to keep at it!
