Getting back in the game - Need TDEE advice.

Howdy!

For the past 3 months I have stopped losing weight because my doctor told me to. I was overweight my entire life (120kg at my highest) and worked hard to change that. To hard if you'd listen to my doctor. In only a few months I dropped 20kgs & my blood pressure shot down immensely, causing me to be nauseous all the time and black out twice.

Now my blood pressure is back to normal. I've been holding my weight just shy under the 100kg mark. I am nowhere near where I'd like to be.

So my current stats are: M/22, 98kg, 185cm. According to the TDEE calculator my BMR is 2031kcal/day.

When I discovered that I actually love running & weight lifting my weight rapidly changed. Now I want to seriously start hitting the gym and train for my first half-marathon while losing weight. I am trying to get at least some exercise in every day.

Now to my question.. When I set the TDEE calculator to "Heavy exercise" it suggests eating 3500 kcal. I was eating 1800 when I first started, so that would be an immense deficit.

I just don't know where to go from here. How much should I actually eat? I know I am going to stick to it this time and I don't need that much food to stay full, but I don't want to risk my health, you know?

Oh and also. What's the best way to figure out what macros I want? When I lost the initial 20 kgs I did pretty much just CICO. Didn't matter where those calories came from. But I think I want a better approach, as I didn't feel too great a lot of the times.

Cheers!
