So I typically follow an IF/CICO method and it works pretty well for me. I workout three to five times a week, eat tons of veggies and lean protein, but have a healthy attitude towards food in general (this time...). Yesterday I made bagels (yes, made them, and they were damn good), and ended up starting my "meals" about 2-3 hours before my typical start point, which threw off my whole day. So I made yesterday a "cheat day", which I'm totally fine with. I didn't eat excessively more than I normally would, I didn't end up tracking it, and I enjoyed everything I ate immensely. But this morning I woke up and I was so hungry! Even that one day of shifting my eating patterns screwed me up. Was it worth it? Yes and no. But I'm here now and the only way to I'll get back into a successful pattern is if I don't turn my one cheat day into a week of cheat days.
If you had a "cheat day" yesterday, and it's making your day harder today, know you aren't the only one in that boat and together we'll make it back on the train!
