Weightloss with ED history?

I'm kind of at a loss. Probably at the highest weight I've ever been- 5'3" and around 210lbs. Worsening knee pain, depression, anxiety, recently diagnosed adhd.

Wanting to lose weight, in part because i'm really unhappy with my appearance but also because of how i feel in myself and the effects it's having a on my health.

My problems is that I have a history of eating disorders- atypical anorexia at around 14, changed to EDNOS at around 16 and became BED around 18. Currently I just eat what I feel like, which is mostly just junk food (in part thanks to ADHD impacts on executive functioning skills like impulse control and giving proper consideration to consequences).

Really no idea how to go about losing weight without triggering ED behaviour. I still get the thoughts, but they're a lot weaker and I just don't act on them. I know CICO is the best way to go, but when I've tried to count calories and actively lose weight before, I'm spiralled pretty quickly into fasting for days at a time. Even when I try to change to slightly healthier food choices, I start cutting more and more out. my brain sort of has an "all or nothing" approach to it- If I have to eat healthy stuff that doesn't make the happy brain chemicals happen, like i get with the junk, I may as well not eat at all.

I've tried things like huel, but they're so weird tasting I just can't make myself swallow them.

When I've googled for help losing weight with history of ED, it's most people talking about how hard it is and not how they're actually managing it.

Any ideas? Don't even know where to start.
