My non- scale gains

Having lost 10kilos in this journey so far, which yes I’m proud of, I want to write down some of the gains I’ve gotten that aren’t focused on a number. It can really suck not seeing the number go down on a scale so I think it’s important to remember there are other ways of measuring your success. Here are some of mine, what are yours?

Also thank you all for helping me along my journey. Your posts keep me motivated :)

  • going into a shop today that tailors itself to a “skinny” clientele and finding something that fits
  • going shopping and not having the worry “will the largest size fit?”
  • fitting into clothes in your wardrobe that used to fit
  • moving from the obese to overweight category in your BMI
  • being able to go on a 2 hour hike
  • being able to run/jog intervals on the treadmill
  • feeling good about my body
  • going to the beach (never done without stress beforehand)
  • not crying before going out because you look horrible
  • being able to look at myself in a mirror -going to an all you can eat restaurant and not devouring more than 3 plates
  • having little biceps
  • feeling proud of myself
