Just realized I was craving the packaging- not the junk food!? Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm doing a pretty restrictive diet and as a result I've been thinking A LOT about cravings lol. My friend was eating a popcorn/candy mix with a name brand candy in it and the bag was huge orange/ brown with a little yellow and pieces of the popcorn and candy on it and I was instantly struggling. Before the bag was even open I was like "fuck." I was considering having some when I realized I wasn't imagining putting it in my mouth, I was literally imaging putting my hand in the bag!! I was just picturing the packaging, more so even than the taste!! Realizing that did out me off my craving but I feel like a freak lol. Is everyone doing this and mostly not noticing it or am I developing pica?

Sidenote: I'm not 100% sure this is the right sub for this, but thinking about it that way did help me overcome the craving- so maybe it could be helpful to someone.
