Disclaimer: My wording may be a bit off since I'm not a native speaker, but here we go.
I'm a year and a half away from finishing highschool, I'm 170cm (5'7") and I am 72kg (158 pounds), but I want to drop down to something more reasonable(?)
I feel fine with my current state, but I'd be more than glad to become healthier, because I've been struggling with a lot of stress, depression all that jargon due to school.
I really enjoy mountain biking/urban riding, due to that I got exposed to the world of triathlon and mainly running. I am confident that I would enjoy running daily.
Here's the current schedule;
Weekdays: 16:00 / 16:15 # Get back from school 16:00 - 18:00 # Free time 18:00 - 21:00 # Questionable "studying" 21:00 - 23:00 # Free time 23:00 - 07:00 # Sleep
Weekends: Super inconsistent unfortunately, sometimes family comes up with a dumb plan to go out, sometimes meet friends etc etc. Only thing scheduled about the weekends is: Friday: 18:30 - 20:00 # Tennis training Saturday&Sunday: 17:30 - 19:00 # Tennis training
As you can see not very suitable for routined exercise. However, I would be very very willing to have a running routine and look after my calorie intake (just not to the extent as every calorie, because parents would think im going insane teen-self-conciousness mode.)
Can I lose weight by running as an alternative to hitting the gym? Can I even lose weight without tracking every calorie intake? Is it fine for me to eat school cafeteria lunches?
As you can see I'll be happy even If I lose and maintain a 2kgs loss.
Any help at all would be super great. Thank you all in advance. I will be responding to comments ofc, but I need to sleep first.
