Let me preface this by reminding everyone to clearly mark any container that is used to hold something other than what it is labeled as. ;)
I was getting ready to head to my father-in-law's yesterday evening to work on his laptop, and remembered I needed to check the oil level in my truck. It was low, so I grabbed a jug of oil I had on hand and proceeded to pour it into my engine.
It occurred to me rather swiftly that oil should most definitely be thicker than what was coming out... as well as not green. UGH!
Then I remembered that I had to drain my radiator a while back and had used this jug to collect some of it.
I began to drag out what I would need to change the oil, including a jack and wheel chocks. When I got on the ground to position the jack I realized that I'd lost enough weight that I could fit under my truck without jacking it up! What started off as an effort in frustration immediately turned into a victory! I was not only able to finish the job much quicker, my back wasn't killing me when i was done!
This might seem like a silly NSV compared to others, but I take my wins whenever I can. :)
TLDR; Lost enough weight/inches to change oil in my truck without having to jack it up.
