I'm trying to lose hopefully at least 75 lbs this year (SW: 231, height 5'1)
I work out - 2-3 days of boxing with a coach + 2-3 days of SoulCycle or similar. (alternating, the weeks I do 3 days of boxing, I do 2 of cycle). I notice a difference in my endurance and strength and overall what I'm capable of doing (up to a 1:30min plank from a 5 second plank lol). I do have a sedentary job and work from home so I'm usually not doing much until I have class.
I eat pretty healthy - I'd say about 80% (or more) of my diet is whole foods. I don't eat processed or pre-packaged foods often, most days none at all. I generally stick to vegetables and beans. I don't eat eggs (mild allergy), dairy (lactose-intolerant), and I sometimes eat meat and fish but not often. I try to stick to whole grains for the most part although sometimes I might have some white rice. I don't always hit my water goal and I'm not a snacker. I measure everything out and log it so I know I'm usually under my calorie goal (sometimes a little too under and then have to eat something else).
I feel like I've been doing everything right all month but yesterday I weighed in at 228. I started roughly 3 weeks ago and it seems like I've hardly lost anything. My dad started at the same time, hasn't changed his diet much (we don't live in the same house), and his exercise is 30 minutes of walking after dinner and he's lost nearly 20lbs already.
