to be fair, i wasnt really trying - in the midst of some issues with my addiction and dealing with my depression, ~25-30 pounds has escaped my body.
while i dont reccommend trying to live your life how i live mine, i can say that i have found a lot of value in intermittent fasting. i personally am experiencing a big loss in my appetite, so fasting has helped me enjoy the food i am able to eat.
i am 5'6" and i have weighed ~250 pounds since 7th grade. at the beginning of november i weighed 255-260 (i tend to fluctuate ~5 pounds give or take, thats just normal for me) and as of this week i weigh 230-235 (again depending on my little fluctuations.)
i received some compliments at christmas and of course i noticed the scale, but the true test for me has always been "can i fit into PINK clothes yet?" to my immense dismay, i am in an absolute consumerism choke-hold when it comes to PINK. i know the company is pretty evil. i know they body shame. i know their sizes run small on purpose... but those damn sequins in the word PINK just run my life.
i ended up fitting perfectly into their Large size jackets and hoodies (NOT EVEN XL!!!) and i found a t shirt that i really liked which fit perfectly in a Medium.
it is petty, but it was a huge confidence boost for me.
