Anyone have tips for getting past specific food "addictions"?

First time posting but I see a lot of posts come through r/popular and I love seeing the progress stories and pictures--very inspiring.

I generally eat healthy but am looking to go from ~210 down to 185. I work out and eat healthy--during the week. I tend to go crazy and snack too much on the weekends, but if I plan out things like lunches I do alright. My weakness is I seriously think I'm addicted to cereal. I'll sit and eat an entire box in one sitting. Hell, I've eaten 2 boxes in a day before. I ate a box today--after I ate lunch! My wife will literally hide cereal from me! I feel like I crave it and then get my fix and then feel like a bloated self-loathing slob afterward. Looking for tips on getting past dwelling on certain foods or any experiences.
