Early last week, I was down to 190. My TDEE is 1,807 calories per day, and I normally stay between 1,200-1,300 creating a 500-600 daily deficit. Plus, I work out 3 times a week and I don't even count the calories I burn from them. Friday and Saturday, I came in around 1550 both days. Higher than usual, for sure, but still at a deficit. Went back to my normal calorie limit on Sunday and stepped on the scale Monday, and was at 193.
Thinking it was just normal water weight, I continued on with my usual routine, drinking 100 oz of water per day, working out, and consuming 1,200-1,300 calories per day, thinking my weight would just go back to normal by Wednesday like it typically does after an indulgent weekend. But it didn't... and on Wednesday I was still 193 and I still am. So now I'm kind of in panic mode. I lowered my caloric intake to 1000 Wednesday and yesterday and I'm planning on doing the same today (kind of extreme, I know) trying to undo whatever damage caused me to put back on 3 pounds. I recognize I indulged last weekend and was fully expecting to maintain my weight at 190. I could've even understood being up a pound or two for a couple of days. But being up 3 and not being able to shake it is freaking me out.
Even worse, with it being Halloween weekend, I have a crazy weekend planned full of alcohol and greasy fatty foods. I was excited for it because I haven't partied in forever, but now I feel like I should just stay in, before I put back on even more pounds. Am I being crazy? What's happening here?
