I lost 20kgs in 5 months - face gains pics

I started on the ketogenic diet in mid June after I weighed in at 100kgs and scared the crap out of myself. I combined it with 16/4 intermittent fasting because a coworker of mine (who is FIT) said it was easy and it made a world of difference.

The first few weeks were agony - I don't know what's worse, the cravings or the constant need to explain your new dietary requirements to people who you KNOW will judge you if you fail. Routine starts to set in, I started to see results, which got me excited to keep going..

I would run any day that I had time to, and I would swim if my body ached from running. I made sure I was getting a high protein intake directly after my exercise sessions because when you're trying to drop as much weight as I am, cannibalization of your own muscle mass is a real concern.

Lately I've been very into Bouldering - like short distance rock climbing puzzles - and I think it's been really good for my strength. It's exciting to be able to track how much better my power:weight ratio is getting through my results on the climbing wall.

Anyway - 5kgs to go to reach the 75kg goal weight. This last five months has been absolutely life changing. As hard as I've made this sound, it is ABSOLUTELY worthwhile.

Don't stop. Do it for the health benefits, for the lifestyle changes, and to prove to everyone that you can.

Rock on!
