Hi lovely people! I have some math questions, so if someone could take pity on my poor right-brained self, I'd really appreciate it.
I have no idea what my actual TDEE is. I'm in maintenance now, so this is a real concern. I'm 25F, 5'3", 110 lbs and I would like to stay here.
I'm mildly active. I walk absolutely everywhere-- I have no alternative modes of transportation. No car, no bus pass, no bike. Nada. My own two feet get me nearly everywhere I go on a daily basis. I usually end up walking about ~1-2 hours a day, often carrying a heavy bag full of books. I do strength training and yoga on top of that, with some very inconsistent cardio and rock climbing thrown in.
All that to say, I still use the "not very active" setting on MFP. It gives me 1510 calories a day, and I find I'm perfectly fine with that, provided I don't drink or have cheat days ever (I can have a TREAT or an indulgent meal, but I've found, for me, "cheat day" is a recipe for a violent binge, so that's out entirely)
I also recently got a Fitbit (Alta HR) to see exactly how many steps I take a day. Right now, I hit a minimum of ~11k steps a day, more like ~17k or ~20k if I'm trying to go for more or have a busy day, which is often. The Fitbit says I burn upwards of 1,900-2,100 calories a day but I know that's an extreme over-estimation.
How many calories does my now-small body actually burn on a daily basis?! Is MFP right? Should I keep sticking to 1510?
My concern is this: I absolutely do not want to gain any weight... OR drop any lower because I've been experiencing massive hair loss for months now, all while I was losing, and even now into maintenance. I get a ton of protein. I eat extremely cleanly. What I maybe don't get enough of is healthy fats-- but that's because I don't want to up my calories! And even then, I eat eggs and avocados quite frequently.
I appreciate any and all help! I'm super not a spreadsheet person, so if I there is a way to calculate it (ie, my TDEE) without one, I'd be forever grateful.
ETA I've been taking biotin and hair vitamins for more than a year already and it's really not helping the hair fall! I don't want to go bald :(
