I'm afraid I'm going to gain back weight on vacation

I lost about 10 pounds in the past year, I feel really great about myself and want to maintain this weight (if not lose a couple more pounds).

I'm on vacation and trying to find a balance where I can enjoy myself but still not go over my calorie budget (currently at 1600).

Problem is that I'm in a country where there are SO many different options for food we don't have back home (which makes me want to eat everything, since I know there won't be the same options when I come back), plus I'm staying with family so I'm not really restricted by a budget either. AND I'm staying with family out in the middle of no where, so the feeling of boredom and wanting to snack is even stronger.

The past couple of days I ate without being hungry, going about 1000 cal over budget, I probably did the same today.

I'm really not sure how to stop this from getting out of hand, normally my self control method comes from getting out of the house and/or making sure I don't have tempting foods lying around. But neither of these are really an option (I could get out of the house and walk around but there is nothing but desert around me.)

What should I do? :(
