Hello loseit. The last 5 or so months i have been losing a lot of weight very quickly. I am a male 5’5 and weigh 230 pounds as of this morning. I started at 273 10.5 weeks ago . I very suddenly went from eating like a pig to and eating out a-lot to eating 13-1700 calories a day most days are around 1500. I didn’t do much research before starting witch was extremely stupid on my part and instantly cut down to low calories. Up until now i felt great about my weight loss and was extremely proud of myself but now im totally regretting doing it the way i did. I am also riding a exercise bike 2 times a day for a hour each time.
Tonight i was talking to a friend of mine who is extremely fit and is bodybuilding now and has dedicated his life to fitness and he asked me what kind of diet i was doing to lose the weight and i told him i was just calorie counting and not really paying attention to the kind of foods i was eating told him i eat somewhere from 1300 to 1700 calories a day.
He said that i am probably doing more damage then good at this point because i am eating so few calories... now i am looking it up and it seems like the weight loss is going to slow down and plateau while I’m eating minimum calories.
I have been keeping track of my weight loss and i weigh myself everyday twice a day. Now that i look at each week and add up how much weight I’m losing each week i can see that it is starting to slow and that scares me....
So my friend i was talking to wants me to add 200 calories a day to my “diet” each day for the next week to see if i still lose weight or gain it.
What happens if i gain it? I still have so much weight to lose and i was feeling so good about myself up until an hour ago. Did i do this for nothing? I do plan on going to see a dietician in the next week or so i just need a appointment but im having a panic attack right now. Am i going to have to gain all the weight back and then some to start over again ๐๐๐ Thank you in advance for any advice. Im so lost right now.
