I need to get this off my chest as I still cant believe it happened. I recently lost over 60 pounds and Im very close to my goal weight, so little by little ive been more confident about going to more crowded or popular events. Last night there was a huge party with important local band names and artists and whatnot. I had been planing to go for a month and was so excited. I didnt even feel like dressing up, I wanted to feel casual and cool and just very me. So I went. There is this GORGEOUS girl there, everyone in my group of friends both girls and guys were trying get her attention or commenting on how pretty she really was. And then boyfriend shows up to break everyone hearts.
I was looking at them dancing and thinking how they kind of matched styles, and how cool they both looked. Im not sure they were a couple but they were sure into each other. Anyways, fast forward to the end of the party and all my friends want to go somewhere else with some of the people that were there, including the cool hot couple.
OK, this is where it gets interesting. So we go to this new place and Im dancing and I suddenly realize the girl, the hot stuff, is checking ME out. STOP EVERYTHING. I had a mini panic attack right there. I played it cool, smiled back, but I wasnt into hooking up at all last night, so I brushed it off. A little after, she leaves.
Guess what! The guy. The cool looking guy, the boyfriend, he just suddenly came up to me, in front of EVERYONE, and just straight up went "hi, whats your name?", in a super nice way, didnt feel invasive at all, he came up with an excuse that he thought he had seen me before, bla bla, whatever. Doesnt really matter. But this guy, for the rest of the night. He would just tell me how beautiful he thought i looked, he mentioned specific features.. You know, not like Oh your eyes are pretty, but like.. You raise one of your eyebrows a little bit more than the other when your listening carefully... Its totally something i do and not even my friends notice! This guy, you could tell he liked me, but not like the hot girl, i think he really saw me, and I find it so flattering!!
It may seem silly, but I had NEVER gotten this kind of attention, and suddenly Im getting hit on by the hotest couple, I dont even know if they know they both did, but that would be interesting.
I wasnt into either one of them, and thats besides the poi t really. Im just in complete AWE, im sorprised and scared and flattered..... And I still cant fucking believe it!!!!!
