Long time lurker, first time poster.

This time two years ago, I joined this subreddit. I was fed up with how I was living my life and looking for any inspiration to do it. I was living at home, feeling lazy, depressed, and anxious about who I was as a person. this image was from back then. I was working at a tequila bar on a steady diet of carnitas tacos and tecate. I weighed 230. Later, this October, I moved to a different job and started vying for a promotion. Wanting to take my life in my own hands, I finally downloaded a calorie tracker app, also called LoseIt, and started tracking. I learned how to lower and maintain my calorie intake.

this selfie was taken this morning after weighing in at 183. I uninstalled the app a few weeks ago because I have confidence in doing this on my own. In addition to my new diet habits, I'm also lifting 3 times a week and running whenever my quads feel up to it haha. I love hiking and going to the gym now. I'm winning the battle with my depression and I got the promotion! I just wanted to share my personal journey with you guys and show you how possible it is to do this. I never thought I would in a million years. Thanks for reading.
