I've been using CICO on and off for a couple years. I started at 220 and dropped down to 178. I felt great! I was tracking food every day and started going to the gym at least 4 days a week. I got really sick for about a month and fell off, HARD. I keep trying to start back up but I give in to the cheat days and keep telling myself "I'll start next week." A year and a half later and I stepped on the scale at 238.
Lately I've been noticing how hard it's starting to get just to do normal things. I get winded going up to the third floor to my apartment, carrying groceries up is a nightmare. I look awful in anything I put on and I'm constantly worrying about how I look when I go out. I can't keep up with my son anymore and I'm sick of it.
I read so many inspiring stories from everyone here and yesterday my grandma posted a picture of me from the 4th of July and I was absolutely in shock. I definitely don't feel as big as I look, and it was a big wake up call. I avoid photos at all cost because of that reason and I hadn't seen myself like that in a very long time. There's so much I want to do, I don't want to be a couch potato my whole life.
I'm posting this to try and hold myself accountable. I bought a shirt! I'm a huge fan of Parks and Rec, so I bought myself a Mouse Rat shirt, size Medium. I'm going to put it up in my room as motivation. On top of that, for every 10 pounds I lose I'm planning on putting money away for a tattoo. I've always wanted a big thigh tattoo but I've never got one because of my size.
I'd love it if anyone has any suggestions/recipes for meal prepping! I think it would help me a lot to cook in big batches, so I have something ready to eat when I come home from a long night at work instead of stopping for fast food every night. Bonus points for crock pot ideas, love my crock pot~
Thanks for reading! Hope everyone has a great day!
